Apr. 17th, 2006 09:51 pmBritish conventions have a tradition of drinking the hotel bar dry. At last year's Worldcon, fans set a new record -- they drank the brewery dry. Yes, they were proud. I only regret that I wasn't there to help.
But surely Glasgow has recovered by now. Or so I thought until Tweeting Birds #9 reported that the members of Concussion, this year's Eastercon, ate the hotel out of...butter.

As it was, there were still folk left who wanted to buy beer at closing time, but by then you needed a room key and not just a con badge....
