This was my last purchase at Brimfield, May, 2007. I probably would have bought them regardless of the day, but having them move to Toad Woods on Mother's Day seemed the right thing to mark the occasion. This year is different than last, but I'll still be relieved when a few more Mother's Days have come and gone.
Mother's Day joy to all who have reason to celebrate it, and Mother's Day comfort to all for whom that's what's needed more right now...especially those who have lost their mothers since the last time this holiday cycled round.

Date: 2007-05-14 03:35 am (UTC)Slept most of the morning, then had a short post-yesterdays-shopping-crusade shopping jaunt with Tammy, wherein we found her a pair of shorts and found me (unexpectedly) the cutest little striped velvety jackety thing.
Then I spent a quiet afternoon/evening with my mom and dad, up at my grandmother's house, packing up things, working on clearing the house out. Not exactly celebratory, but family, and good. And I made a point to take mum chocolates and a good card, and wrote a note in it she seemed to appreciate, so that was good too.
A warm welcome to your monkeys. Having them arrive today does seem appropriate.
