gerisullivanThe Zeppelin Hangar still stands, there were no power outages while I was gone, and the heat kicked on the moment I adjusted the thermostat. Huzzah!
The car is unloaded with the exception of the front passenger seat area; first floor of the house is now even more of a disaster area than it was when I left, oh, it seems like forever ago. I haven't yet seen the living room, upstairs, or basement, so I'm going to toddle along and enjoy the 10 hours or so that I have here until I leave for a car appointment in Westborough. It's supposedly to have an exhaust gasket replaced, but I'm also going to have them change the oil and deal with the passenger-side headlight. The headlight went wonky somewhere in the last 2211 miles. It comes on, and stays on...but only after you whack it. And whacking only works *after* turning the headlights on. Whacking it on the way to the driver's door isn't enough.
I really am going to tally up just how much I've been gone this year; it's been more than a little nuts in the away-from-home department. I thought I was done with the long stretches away when I returned after spending September in Michigan, but if all goes as currently planned, by time 2007 rolls around, I'll have spent a mere 11 nights at home in the final 40 days of 2006. Yikes.
