The traditional Corflu baseball game has been replaced with a slide show, though there will be a team photo of all who were prepared to play ball taken later.

Mike Glicksohn has an excellent picture of [livejournal.com profile] sleigh from the mid-'70s, and [livejournal.com profile] fredcritter from that same era was immediately recognizable to pretty much everyone here. We're getting a little more current, looking at photos that include some from Noreascon 3. Mark Olson looks very much the same as he did in 1980. Much as I think I know what John D. Berry has looked like for most of the last 20 years, I didn't recognize any of the pictures of him from the 1960s and 1970s.

The mid-70s... Why, I must have been about two or three years old then... :-)

Were/are there any photos from Dellcon? I was watching an episode of "That '70s Show" where one bit had a punchline about vacationing in the Wisconsin Dells, and that brought back happy memories.

The round-robin story we all wrote together at the dinner table might be fun to see again, too.

I have some pictures from Dullcon -- picnic in the misty-rain, one of the group readings of the hysterical markers, at the train museum, a group shot at Glensheen Mansion and another at the rotating restaurant at the top of the Radisson -- but I don't remember any from Dellcon. Hmmm.

I don't remember who ended up with the round-robin story either. I have only the vaguest of memories of our creating it. Sorry. I do remember my shock when my mushroom burger turned out to be topped with canned mushrooms. Eeeuw!

Unfortunately, I was not at DullCon. I remember a wonderful Wisconsin dinner complete with honey butter, and a trip to The House on the Rock, with all of those incredible rooms full of automated musical instruments, culminating in THE ORGAN ROOM (as Judy C. called it) and a huge carousel. I think we did about everything on that loosely-organized group trip but ride on the Ducks!

I have suddenly had the urge to write to Doug H., who was also on that trip. I easily found an email address for him, along with evidence which strongly suggests that he is still alive. The same evidence also suggests that his dry and charming wit is still intact. I'll let you know if he replies.

If I ever get myself out to Corflu again, be forewarned that I'm bringing my glove. Besides, I am a big baseball fan, but an even bigger hockey fan. Go Wild! Oh, wait a minute: they're not in the playoffs this year, hang it all.
