This should probably be a response to a different post of yours, but I am just thrilled that the only thing happening to you was the perception of a lot*lot*LOT of rain, and no serious flooding that would impair your own safety. I know that New Hampshire got it badly, and you're not *that* far. Here in the Sin Twitties we had a rainfall so dramatic that many roads were flooded; I went through water up over my hubcaps, coming back from the store with stepson James, with the only reason for me *not* to bite my fingernails up to my elbows was that the cars in front of me were visibly getting through it. Even so, I left Lowry Avenue on a street I believed to be more level, and got home okay -- but WHEW! And likewise for you.
