It's not Key West, and it's not Lahaina, but I somehow like Provincetown at least as much as either of those tourist destinations, and probably a good bit more. I'm glad to be back, and glad to be staying overnight this time — my first visit on Memorial Day was just a quick day trip, with only a few hours of walking around. Even that was a delight; staying here is better. Staying here is lots better. And I'm not just saying that because I found a planet tonight, and tomorrow it may well be mine.

I think I'll look this up on a map when I get home. The two Massachusetts destinations I most want to visit are Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard, as a kid who grew up on an island (with a lot of family on the nearest inhabited island north). I wonder if Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard would feel as different from each other as Vashon and Bainbridge Islands always did?

By the way, you mentioned the Kitsap County "Nathan Bucklin" house historical site. My mother informs me that this is on Bainbridge Island, my uncle Vann lived there until his death about a year ago, and I have been in this house (originally my great-grandfather's) numerous times. But thanks for the link -- maybe I'll go there to visit yet one more time.
