Malala Yousafzai on The Daily Show
Oct. 10th, 2013 06:31 amUtterly amazing young woman.
Here's the on-screen interview.
There's also a extended interview. (Part 1 is the on-screen portion; there's another 9:49 minutes in Parts 2 and 3.)
(Apologies to those who ended up with an auto-play when I had the first segment embedded here.)

Date: 2013-10-11 09:53 am (UTC)Clicking on "previous 10" when reading my Friends feed should not result in loud applause sounds coming from god-knows-where (because the culprit is far down the page) and the other person in the room being awakened from sleep.

Date: 2013-10-11 07:20 pm (UTC)Thanks for bringing the problem to my attention. At this end, I've always needed to push the play button to view embedded videos. Much as I know all browsers don't work the same, that knowledge hadn't previously linked up with the "this can be a problem with embedded videos" conclusion. While loud noises are certainly more of a problem, I really don't want to do things that set off automatic play processes for any video or audio. Especially in an environment like LJ, where linking to great stuff is far from my primary goal.
Changing behavior now!
