It's a good thing...

...I had the snow tires put on the car yesterday.

Not that I plan to drive anywhere Thursday. Ice on top of snow is just not my fave. Then again, it beats snow on top of ice.

Shoveling will be work enough. But it's good to know that the car probably will go up the drive if I need it to. I wouldn't even try with the "all season" tires, not even with them new this past spring...and, um, 15,000 miles ago, more or less. I think I've topped 20K for the first year ever. Even the summer of '76, when we did 10K in 2.5 months, we drove less than 10K the rest of the year (and I didn't do all the driving then).

We still use all-season but it isn't like there are a lot of hills here and we don't get nearly as much snow as you get.

Looks like our 6 year old snowblower may have died - Neither of us can get it started. Luckily, the main troublespot is the entry to the driveway. We only got 2-3" of snow.

Hope you are recovering from shoveling! Did you get significant accumulation? (We had about ten inches up here in Dover.)
