Ohmigosh. Sorry! I know I'm much blessed in friends, but it just didn't parse as I was writing that there have been two penguin-loving Bruce's in my life, and that my default in this case was someone other than the obvious one.

Bruce Pelz. I cherish the pins he picked up for me on his penguin cruise. And, damn, I miss him!

At least you don't have a high-pitched, squealing laugh. That really would have been too much.

I am reminded of the time when there were temporarily three default Karen's in my life. That was confusing to anyone trying to follow who I was talking about, as you could only tell from the subject matter of the conversation, and even that sometimes took insider knowledge.

On the other hand, who am I to talk? My wardrobe for the forseeable future appears to be something covered by something-that-repels-moisture. ;->.
