Yep, that daytime 5-9 inches turned out to be 13.5 inches here. I've shoveled enough to get the car to the driveway once Plow Guy returns, and the first 10 feet or so of the path to the mud room door. I still have 15-20 feet on that to go, but decided it could wait.

I'm assuming you don't have the distraction of having to spend time better spent shoveling on pushing stuck automobiles out of the intersection...

Your assumption is right. The only intersection is where the top of my driveway meets the road, and even it's out of sight from where the shoveling gets done.

We ended up at about 21" total. It's been very white here. Our plow guy made ~4 passes, I think.

Plow Guy did his final pass about an hour ago. I thought he'd been by twice yesterday, but when I shoveled out to the ridge he'd left the first time, it looked like only once. I wonder if he'll be back with the front-end loader to push the mammoth piles of snow further back in the next few days.

It really hasn't been as cold these last few years but then again we do get more snow including another 1.5" overnight. It doesn't equal 24+" but ours will not leave peacefully.
