I should have gone for the extreme angle to really bring home just how many bins of Christmas ornaments I have. Either that, or stacked the bins as tall as the tree rather than spreading them in lower piles on each side of it. Click on through for a couple more pictures of Toad Woods Christmas in the making.

It's a given... ...all of the ornaments in the bins and boxes aren't going to fit. If she looks closely, Karen Johnson will recognize her handwriting on those orange labels from when she packed the bins at Toad Hall.

An Angel Unlike Any Other Auntie Bun, my great-aunt and godmother, also co-owner of the Twinzy Toy Company with her twin sister, Blanche, made my angel tree topper at least 50 years ago (and who knows how many more).

The angel is now on the top of the tree, where she belongse. And with that, I'm going to sleep. 'Cause if I open any of those bins and start hanging ornaments, odds are against my being able to stop. That, and it will be more fun when I'm awake.

So many memories, so many years.

I'm looking forward to late nights in the living room with tree, mantle, and laser star lights. With ornaments on the tree.

I'm looking forward to the decorating, too. The bulk of it will wait as I'm about to be gone for another 24 hours or so.
