The Chanukah candles are burning here in Eastern Standard Time. In just a few more hours, I hope they'll be burning at Smofcon, and that smofbabe releases a new page of the SMOFTalmud.

Nice to know you remember past Smofcon Chanukah efforts fondly. Alas, due to the uncertainty of Smofcon program scheduling, I chose not to mark Chanukah at Smofcon (aside from putting up an LED menorah in the con suite) and therefore I also did not do a new SMOFTalmud page. My decision turned out to be prescient when the announcement was made that we had no rooms for Saturday evening programming aside from a convention center room across the street for only 2 hours. Sorry you couldn't be here - Dave McCarty announced your appointment as Chicon 7's Artistic Director last night to much acclaim!

Alas, your decision makes much sense, sorry though I am that a Chanukah Smofcon passed without the usual celebration and a new page for the SMOFTalmud. I look forward to hearing more about how the program worked out this year.

Hey, thanks for the info about Dave's announcement and the reaction to it. *Neat* (Now to keep moving forward on that project, as well as so many others.)
