Daddy is up, dressed, watching The Price is Right, and finishing his lunch, just like it looks like he'll be doing at home the next time the clock rolls around to that point.

His freshly-installed pacemaker is working well -- the on-demand venticular lead is firing 90% of the time, which points out rather clearly just how much he needed the thing. The atrial lead isn't having to work at all.

The release nurse is just finishing up the exit info; we're all about to be out of here and back at home.

As Daddy says, "I'm feeling a lot better than I did when I came in."

Huzzah!

This is wonderful news. Of all the possibilities, thankfully this one has a "fix."

And that is, after all, the point of these little excursions....

Yay for very positive-sounding outcome!

I'm glad to know that this episode of your dad's story has come to a good conclusion. His comment "better than when he went in" reminds me of my own dad's response to coronary and cardiac interventions over the last decade or so. It's great when they stop toughing it out and get the treatment they need.

This is the part where I like living in the future.

That's terrific! And yeah, as per voidampersand, living in the future is great, especially because (for so many of us) it involves ...errr.... actually _living_.

(And, FEI (for everyone's information) Len Moffatt and Lenny Bailes seem to be recovering well from their recent surgeries).
