...home, home again.

For all of 12-14 hours anyway. In the morning, I'm heading over to Fall River, MA, to gather n6tqs from HMS Bounty for a quick overnight visit here at Toad Woods. Good thing I made up the guest bedroom bed before heading to Minneapolis! Let's not talk about the dead food in the fridge....

(Hey, I didn't want local wildlife deciding to devour the chicken carcass while I was gone. That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it.)

More later. 'Twas a fab trip. Sorry I didn't have a hope of seeing everyone I wanted to see. Many, many thanks to carnyjack, mizzlaurajean, davidschroth, minnehaha K., lsanderson, T (WINOLJ), Mike & Kathy Anderson (WANOLJ), again to carnyjack, Daddy (WINOLJ), and the denizens of Fanhihall (alsoNOLJ) for all the overnight hospitality these last 17 nights, and to oh, so many more friends for all the fun, love, meals, conversations, celebrations, and adventures shared.

I hesitate to ask - did you drive by the Former Toad Hall last weeek? I drove down the alley on Wednesday after picking up some firewood from Ken and noticed that the house was empty and seemingly abandoned, the yard overgrown. Scary yellow notices of some sort were taped to the back door. Ken said it had changed hands a year or so earlier. Not good. Sorry I missed you, we meant to come to Powderhorn but ended up digging in the garden all day instead!

Yes. Laura Jean told me it was empty, so I not only drove by, but I took a close look at the outside and took some photos. There's an entire LJ post about Toad Hall going back to the weasels waiting for time to be written.

Sorry I missed you and Marjorie. It was a gorgeous day for digging in the garden as well as for MayDay!

Thanks for coming out to visit and for helping with the Bucket Brigade and all. I'll have real numbers soon, but it seems our efforts on behalf of the theater were very successful.
