Lily Coyle is my hero

Kudos to Lily Coyle for channeling the voice of Satan in a truly wonderful letter she sent to the Minneapolis StarTribune. Many thanks to the paper for publishing it, and to willshetterly for noticing and posting about it.

It's the second letter in the column. Will picked it up from NPR, where it was in separate paragraph; here's the easier-to-read version in Will's post.

While Lily's letter is hilarious, this one (also from the Strib letter column) is the one that made me say out loud, "Thank you, Bob Worrall of Roseville!") Lily speaks to you and me and many of our friends, none of whom would have given the time of day to Pat Robertson anyway. I'm pleased to see someone speaking out for and to sensible, traditional Christians:

Calling all moderates
Distance yourself from Robertson's blasphemy

Just as we would like to see moderate Muslims denounce extremists claiming to represent Islam, so moderate Christians must denounce Pat Robertson for his latest blasphemy.
