Car in garage: check.
Plants watered: check.
Net connection working: check.
And all that sort of thing.
When I arrived at the Delta in Montreal ten days ago, a full crew of fannish sherpas poured out from the lobby. They surrounded my car and soon it was empty. A few minutes after that, carts and bags were fully loaded and all of the stuff whisked its way upstairs while I parked my car underneath the hotel.
I note with some regret that Toad Woods doesn't normally sport its own fannish sherpa crew nor did a special team await my arrival home tonight. I shudder to think about where I'm going to pile everything that's currently stuffed into the car and dare not contemplate how long it's then going to take me to put it all away. carnyjack is arriving in a couple of weeks. I'll want to bring some order to the chaos by then.
Sleep now. Or soon, anyway. The car will still be there when I wake.
