I've been home....

...for a full 9 hours now. It hasn't stopped raining since I got here. This is not as welcoming as I would have hoped. Mostly, it's just plain wet.

Outdoors only, thank ghu.

I found out yesterday that the six months of drought we had followed by the week of nonstop rain lost my mother the roof on her house; she's still in rehab,and my brother got repairs done, and bids to replace now, but it's still a mess and bother. Apparently the previous owner lied about the age of the roof, and the home inspector didn't really climb up on the roof and inspect it.

Glad to hear you're safely home. Maybe rain was nature's way of keeping you from overdoing too soon. But I'm seeing some sun this morning, and I hope you are too.
