Earlier today, debgeisler told me Archie McPhee's is in the process of moving to a new store, so when dinogrl linked to a Flickr set of photos of their new digs in process, I wandered over to take a look.

To my delight, I discovered they've painted a Giant Green & Purple 4-Eyed Finger Puppet on their new building. It's not the same as the finger puppet in my icon, but I have that exact 4-eyed finger puppet nestled amongst the Carnival Glass vases on the top left shelf of the glass displays in my dining area.

Such fun. And fame, too. Three cheers for the little guy, and for Archie McPhee's, too! Less Talk. More Monkey. Exactly.

We were actually right next to their parking lot (it is blocked off until they move in). Quite a colorful, festive building. Alas, Mike walked up and saw the sign saying they weren't going to be there quite yet.

I'm a little grumpy about their move, because they are displacing my local liquor store. However, there's a rumor that the liquor store is just relocating elsewhere in the neighborhood. I hope so!

I used to go to that liquor store too, I would rather have Archie any day than the liquor store next to the Boys and Girls Club.

Can you imagine the fun these kids will have now?!

It's so bright and colorful and fresh! We've driven past it a few times. Moving the sign from Ballard to Wallingford was reported in the Ballard blog (and probably the Wallingford blog as well. Hah!)
