Yay, Curiosity!

By pure happenstance, I noticed a live feed for Curiosity's landing 3 minutes before it's expected. Whoohoo!

Parachute deployed. Back to watching rather than posting. Thrusters re-enabled.

"It's time to see where our Curiosity will take us."

Touchdown is confirmed.

"Images are starting to come down."

So exciting.

"Odyssey data is very strong."

"We are wheels down on Mars"

"Are we gonna get a full image?"

"Signal to Odyssey is still strong, we're still getting data from Odyssey."

Roaring with laughter now

Hearing EDL team leader Adam Steltzner give credit "to the [pause] blue shirts."

One of us! One of us!

And thereby inviting me into the room, making me one of them.

So happy. So very, very happy that Spirit and Opportunity have company. So happy for everyone there, experiencing the excitement and joy firsthand.
