Update: Match It For Pratchett

hazelchaz asked this question down in the comments of a previous post, but I figured I'd answer it up here for all to see.

Yes, you can donate via Paypal. Chris Tregenza created and linked the Alzheimer's donation tip jar to the minty-fresh Match It For Pratchett website. Donations (less Paypal fees) go to the Alzheimer's Research Trust in the United Kingdom. There's already $1,000 in the jar...and plenty of room for more. :-)

The website also has a Guide to Giving with links to Alzheimer's organizations in the US, Australia, and France.

On Monday, fastfwd received an update from Andrew Scheuber at Alzheimer's Research Trust, Here's an excerpt from Andrew's report:

"As promised, here’s the total value of donations to the Alzheimer’s Research Trust thanks to the Match it for Pratchett campaign so far:

"£29,286.15 from 688 donations

"This is tremendous news. We’re so excited about the way this campaign has grown. It’s non-stop right now in the Trust’s offices."

That's from just the first couple of days. Huzzah! There's more to come...lots more. Bidding on Once More with Footnotes topped $400 today. Other unique fundraisers are in the works.

Amazing. And really, really good.
