I'd heard very good things about The Graveyard Book, but hadn't yet made my way 'round to reading it.
Today, I'm surprisingly glad of that, for last night Neil Gaiman posted the link to his full reading of the book during last October's 9-city video tour. I had work to do. The story kept me company through the dark hours of the night and well into the sunny day that followed.

Wow. If, like me, you haven't yet read it, I heartily recommend listening to it first. And even if you have, I imagine hearing it would still be a pleasure.

We listened to it on the iPod going up and back to MN this Christmas. We were very pleased to have done so. I don't know about reading it, but listening to Neil do so was fantastic.

Mr. Gaiman was on The Colbert Report last Monday. I always knew someone on the show was a fan and I'd hoped it was Colbert himself. In this interview he proves it. Mentioning Lovecraft and getting the Tolkien reference even startled his guest.
