Whoohoo! Sibyls & Spaceships is now in print

I picked up the NESFA Press chapbook of Jo Walton's poetry from the printer this afternoon. Ooh, shiny. (For uncoated stock values of shiny, that is.) More details and a picture of the cover are in the announcement on the Boskone LJ.

It's a good thing I left most of the Reno party supplies at the NESFA Clubhouse following Arisia. The back of my car is now mostly full of boxes from printers, and I'm going to have an interesting time fitting in the resale art and my exhibit piece for the Geek Corner...oh, yes, and my luggage. Must remember my luggage.

The luggage fit. Barely.

When I pulled up to the hotel, one of the valet guys (quite probably the valet manager) asked me how many weeks I was staying for. I laughed, and didn't give him a direct answer. A few minutes later he asked again, "No, really; how many weeks are you staying for?"

Maybe it was the 2 folding tables and the 2 TV trays. While I'm sure other people check in with a cooler, few people bring their own tables, let alone 4 of them.

Geri, there's a lot of interest in the chapbook from people who won't be there. You might want to calculate how many orders you'd need to do a productive reprint.

We think we're in good shape, but it is of course hard if not impossible to know. We ordered 100 more than the Rune Press print run for Lurkers & Muses, and the printer went well beyond the traditional + or - 10%, which means more royalties for Jo. That's a win.
