Date: 2004-05-12 04:15 pm (UTC)when my gf's son was born, there was a terrible trial getting people to the hospital to see him-- the room was listed under the birth mother's legal name. which isn't what everyone *thinks* is the birth mother's legal name, and certainly isn't mousie, which is what everyone calls her.
