I laughed and laughed
Sep. 28th, 2007 11:55 pmI was in my office, then the kitchen, getting ready to make more of those maple Irish oatmeal cookies. The TV was on in the living room, left that way following some time on the NordicTrack and my usual late dinner spent watching a few minutes of it.
A weird, mechanical, female voice had been asking various odd questions on the TV for what seemed like several minutes. Curiosity finally got the best of me; I went in to watch.
Which is how I was fortunate enough to see the photo booth clip, purportedly from the L.A. County Fair. I snickered a few times, watching people interacting with the disembodied voice of the booth, then seeing the picture snapped, capturing a moment of their interaction.
The last was the best. A man walked in with a quirt. "What's that?" the booth asked. He told her. She asked him to show her how it worked, so he did, snapping the quirt at the wall. Soon the booth was asking for more, exclaiming, "I'm a bad, naughty photo booth." I laughed and laughed.
I'm not a Tonight Show regular, so I don't know if this was a one-off or an on-going feature. A quick look around their website didn't turn anything up, but I'm hoping it makes it into their favorites in another week or so. I'd like to see the whole thing, not just the last few interactions.
Okay, color me easily amused. 'Cause I am.

Re: Bad Naughty Phone Booth!
Date: 2007-09-29 04:33 pm (UTC)The photo booth segment starts with a short intro from Jay at 13:45 minutes into the show, and the actual footage runs from 14:10 - 19:28.
The Bad, Naughty Photo Booth starts at 19:02 minutes. He says it's a riding crop from Afghanistan that he bought at the fair. I can't make out the last name of the comedian featured. Carol something.... She underplays everything beautifully.
