May 6: Hummingbirds!

gerisullivanYesterday, I picked up a new hummingbird feeder. Late last night, I boiled sugar syrup, let it cool, filled the feeder, and hung it just outside my office window. I sat down at my computer about 10 minutes ago. A hummingbird came by just a few minutes after that. Whee!
(They may well have been around sooner if I'd hung a feeder, though in the past, they've coming looking for it even when it's not there. Sometime between May 5-10 really does seem to be their arrival date here.)
