The detail on my new elephant pin is too good to limit it to icon resolution only. Here's a closer look, in the pin's actual orientation.

Update: I originally posted this with a small shot of the picture here, but the link didn't work in some browsers because I'd neglected to change back from CMYK to RGB mode before making the jpeg. Now that I've eliminated the original picture, I'm just posting the link to the new one. Cheers.

Alas, no. Nothing that looks like a maker's mark, nothing, period. The clasp, which you can see through the left side of the big version, is an interesting open-work pattern of cheap but reassuringly solid metal. The elephant's body is some kind of resin/plastic; I don't know my materials science or costume jewelry to speculate what. The accents are metal.

I looked through a couple hundred elephant pin pictures on eBay, and didn't see anything like it. Hey, I just typo'd that as "eBad." Fun! (Okay, so how many times has that usage been independently "discovered" now?) Better yet, LJ's spell checker is smart enough to suggest eBay as one of the possible words intended. Along with eB ad, eB-ad, bead, Eba, bad, egad, and Eba's.....

Yeah, I was pretty sure it was mass-produced -- the granulation is molded rather than each ball put on individually. It's meant to look like it's from Indonesia/Thailand, but it's mass-produced. I have friends who travel in that area and I'll point them to the picture and let you know if anything comes up.

Thank you!

Yes, it is most certainly mass-produced. I believe it's a current or really quite recent piece, so your friends might well run across it in their travels. My budget for a second one is $15 or less including shipping costs.
