Relaxation on the road
Mar. 4th, 2006 07:53 amIn an attempt to practice what I seem to be preaching all too often these days, I'm taking my trip home as gently as I can. I stopped for a late lunch at the Travelers Club on my way out of Lansing Thursday, enjoying a plate Ararat Hav and the sight of all those tubas. Just over an hour later, I was enjoying a cup of tea and brief visit with
tammylc.
Cleveland turned out to be my stopping point for the night. I stayed over an extra day here -- sleeping in, working, and visiting the splendid Rain Forest at the Cleveland Zoo where I also saw a few of the exhibits in the zoo.
I'm up early this morning, hoping to complete the long drive to New York in time to spend some time with friends there. Tomorrow, it'll be just a couple more hours of driving home, all on utterly familiar roads.
Onward. And All That Jazz....
