The foraging of the cupboards...

We haven't broken out the toffee butter popcorn here at Toad Woods yet; I just paused in typing this Not-A-Worldcon update to take the baked brie out of the oven.

The casual evening of welcoming out-of-state visitors and whoever wanders in is well underway. We don't quite have a dessert per person, but we certainly have several dozen yards of ribbons, seam tape, and cushion cording per person, thanks to the Wright's Fabric and Trim grab box Teresa and I picked up Friday afternoon. This is the third time I've sprung for one of the grab boxes, and each one has been remarkably different. Fun, too.

Tall corn awaits, and many other adventures, too!

Sounds like a great time. Sorry I'm missing it, but we have to finish a bunch of projects here before the cancer-imposed, home-improvement moratorium kicks in.

There you are!

I didn't know you had a journal! I'm currently in Virginia on my victory lap of the US, then I move to Thailand near the end of September. Give yourself a big juicy kiss for me!

Hope it was good

I spent the weekend sweating my arse off at our local Renaissance Festival, I'd rather have somewhere cooler. BUT my hope is to make a good start at replacing the iBook that got stolen in January -- my employer pays me to help keep him organized and sell jewelry. Plus I get to 'shoplift' at the end of season == i pick out what I want, and if it's left, take it away. (best booty to date is my turquoise bracelet, he made it too small.... he has a summer store where he lives in Colorado, and if he'd made two inches bigger, it'd have sold. Repeatedly.)
