...I'd be going to the Roadworks Steamroller Printing Festival. And if output junkie Deb Geisler were in town, I'd be asking her to come along.

Printing by steamroller, down Rhode Island Street. Oh, yeah. (I lived on Rhode Island Avenue for a year at the end of the 1970s, but it was in St. Louis Park, MN, not San Francisco, CA. And the Steamroller Printing Festival is just 10 years old.

(Icon used in memory of the artist, James White. Not sure if it's a wood cut or a lino cut; he worked mostly in linoleum, IIRC. Never at 3-foot by 3-foot scale. He would have loved hearing about the festival.)

Oh, man--i learned to do linoleum block printing in high school. I'd forgotten how cool it is, and how great the results can look!
