90_percent_sure has a thing for Shower Reports. Since my for today is different than usual, I figured I'd post it and add to her collection.
Showed noonish, after poking around with a Polish-to-English online translation program to see just what was in each of the three bottles of bath products a Polish guest left here last year. The one I thought was shampoo was (szampon), and the aromatic substance for men is shower (prysznic) gel. I guessed other gel was a facial cleanser, even though the program I was using came up empty handed on "zel do mycia twarzy." Sure enough, a Brit friend on a mailing list found a better translator: "for washing of face gel." And here I was hoping for a hair conditioner....
The shampoo left my hair squeaky clean after just one lather cycle, and I used the Suave conditioner that Jack left to finish off the job. I wasn't scrambling through the cupboards because I'd run out of my usual favorite KMS Silker products. It's just that they've finally gone flat after 3-4 years -- usually my shampoos lose their kick and appeal after 1-2. So I'm giving my hair a break, and hope that it welcomes the return to Silker shampoo and conditioner in a couple of weeks.
Other recent change to my shower routine? The addition of a yellow duckie pouf, attached to a handle for easier back scrubbing. Hey, it was on sale for $1 at the Big Y, and it's cute as well as effective.
Anybody out there with hard water? I have a bunch of special hard-water shampoo and conditioner from before the installation of my water treatment system. Hate to throw it away, but it doesn't work so well with the low-iron, softened water I now have.
