Thanks, galtine1! The first time I clicked through to this, I abandoned it after contemplating the process of clicking so many boxes for people known or met in Real Life. But then I had too much fun reading everyone's answers, so here goes! I'm not even messing about with any of the code, tempting though that could be on a few questions and replies.

To someone, quite possibly. Alas, I am far too literal a human being these days. To reach my own judgment on this matter, I'd have to at see and talk with (or at least hear...hmmm, and quite probably smell, touch, dance, and laugh with) all of the people alive. That's not physically possible, a fact of life that I am actually quite grateful for. I would have given me great pleasure to respond "yes, of course" if galtine1's name had come up in that question, just because she would gotten such a kick out of it. Well, that, and considering the places my name popped up in her survey questions, it only would have been fair play.

The part about aging that I find most comforting so far is how my perception of attractiveness and sexual appeal have changed along the way. When I was in my twenties and early thirties, my first impression of guys in their fifties was "old". These days, my reaction is much more likely to be "attractive," "cute," "sexy," or even, "oh, wow, humminahummina." Yes, they still look old. But old looks much better than it did 20-25 years ago. Old is now much more interesting. Yes, some people in their twenties still look delightfully hot to me, but that's primarily in terms of the pleasure of looking at them.

This is probably more a reflection of the fact that similar age range is an important piece of my own sexual make-up than anything else. I'm just glad that looks/appearances I find sexually attractive are aging right along with me.

Oh dear. You seem to have forgotten that headgardener and the_gardener published an account of visiting the US in FTT by headgardener's brother. That was the article which many careless people assumed was by headgardener herself to their confusion.

damascene and I certainly ran into you at the 1997 Minicon, which we went to after Mike Ford was GoH at her Boskone. I \think/ that was first meeting but couldn't swear.
