My red-headed grandniece was born today. Mom Sara & Baby Katie are both doing well. Three-and-a-half year old big brother Colin got to hold his newborn sister and feed her a bit from a bottle this afternoon. Presumably Dad Carl is doing well; Grandma Leslie (my sister-in-law) called with the great news when I was just a few miles from home and the cell signal quickly dropped out, as it is wont to do.

And so the family grows....

Edited to correct the spelling of Kaitlyn's first name. That's what I get for transcribing what I remember hearing on a weak cell-signal in the first place.

That's wonderful. I was about 3 1/2 when my baby brother was born, and while I can't quite remember his arrival, I remember the joys soon thereafter of having a little brother.
