I'm off to Baldwin Hill Art & Framing in Natick to catch Richard Powers: Public & Private before it closes. As a special bonus prize for procrastinators like me, they're having a Closing Reception from 5-9pm. Yay; more time to d/r/o/o/l/ o/v/e/r/ see the exhibit.
I adore Powers' work beyond words, especially his abstracts. If it were before March 2008, I'd be at serious risk of coming home with a severely depleted checkbook and one or more pieces of art that leave my soul a'dancing every time I look at them. Today, the greatest likelihood is that I'll come home with fabulous visual memories and one or two frames for photos of my mom that followed me home from Battle Creek. Fingers crossed, knocking wood, and All That Jazz....
