Electricity = restored.

Heat = working.

Water = running, but only after adrenaline-surge of panic fueled by no PSI on water pump or boiler. Visions of boiler failure and destruction still lurking around edges, though apartently unfoundedn

Cable TV and internet = not working. Wire down in driveway is most likely cable wire. Restoration date = unknown and unpredictable. Not good.

Landline phone = not working. Restoration date = Thursday, Nov. 10 and maybe sooner.

AAARGH.

Many thanks to [livejournal.com profile] debgeisler and [livejournal.com profile] benveniste for the recent and possibly near future landing place

Onward.

Yuck. Could have been worse but not fun, I'm sure. Hope everything gets restored quicker than they're predicting.

Crap, crappity crap for the lack of connectivity; sucks to be caught like that (wait, internet not working ... are you posting via phone? *iz confused*)

May the tiny gods of efficient power-restoration and storm clearing gain power and efficacy in your area. In the meantime, hugs, hugs, hugs.

Yep, I'm posting from my Android phone. Only one bar of service, but it appears to be strong enough for me to have ordered a Black & Decker "Alligator" cordless electric lopper that's now due to arrive Saturday. Local stores are of course sold out. I hope it wil be up to handling my various downed branches and trees from this storm and Hurricane Irene.

Hugs, hugs, hugs returned.

Cheers! The TV and Internet seem like essentials but really they are just annoyances. Major annoyance in the case of the internet but it sounds like the worst is past.

Electricity, heat and water, those are the important things! Hopefully the rest will be functional very soon.

Ouch!

Hope it all gets better fast.

It won't increase the one bar, but it will let you have a bigger keyboard.

Yes, *hugs hugs hugs* -- and things could have been way worse. Just a few more days....

I'd rather have to drive somewhere for my bits than for my heat, light, and water.
Are you tempted to move back to our more temperate climate yet? (OK, maybe hold that attempt at a joke until May.)

Dear Lord. This year's winter weather is getting you coming and going, with dreadful summer weather in between.

It really is a pity that we can't take certain years back to the factory and demand a refund. (I've got a couple I'd have gladly traded in for an equivalent value in peanuts and cowrie shells, given half a chance. At least I could have eaten the peanuts and strung the shells for a bead curtain.)

PITA! But I'm glad the situation has improved on those fronts it has improved on.

Oh, how familiar that all sounds... But at least Ike didn't bring snow.

It all will come back online. Fingers crossed for continued unfoundedness of boiler failure & destruction.

Glad to hear things are improving.
