Upgrading from the truly ancient Eudora 6.1 to the merely old'n'moldy Eudora 6.2.4 for the Mac restored my ability to send outgoing email from my email client.

Yay. Sighs of relief and All That Jazz...

I'm still using Eudora 7.1.0.9 for the PC, though I'm considering switching to the new (and apparently out of beta) open source version.

I'm still using the native-ish version on both Mac and PC.
I've tried the OSE version - it works, but doesn't seem as featured or as peppy - it still looks like webmail.
