maruad pointed me at the Gizmodo link that in turn led to Shooting for the Sun in the November issue of The Atlantic.It's a profile of inventor Lonnie Johnson, best known for coming up with the Super Soaker water gun, and his current work on the Johnson Thermoelectric Energy Converter. Twice as efficient as today's solar cells. Sounds good to me.
