The forecast thunderstorms are rumbling overhead right on schedule. The cool, sharp breeze is sheer delight. The rest of it? Time will tell. I hope the power stays up; I need it tonight.

Edited to add: The Severe Thunderstorm Warning ends in another 25 minutes. I'm pretty sure that cool, sharp breeze hasn't been anywhere near the 65 mph capability mentioned in the warning, but I'm staying inside nonetheless.

Thanks for posting this. I forgot I need to get on my ladder and clean the eavesthroughs. I can see small branches stick out in spots that have been there since our last severe storm this week.

The rain was so heavy the streets were flooded curb to curb in places.
