The 3.5 hour layover at O'Hare became a dash from Gate C21 to B9, or something like that. There wasn't time to use the restroom. There wasn't time to do anything other than speed walk and jog our way to the gate, get on the plane, and buckle in. The only call I had time to make was to let my liaison here in Kansas City know we'd made our original flight.
United certainly didn't expect us to. Phone messages I finally had time to pick up in Kansas City told me repeatedly we were rebooked on the 8pm flight. The bag we checked at LaGuardia arrived at the hotel at 3:45 am Friday.
We supposedly have 1.75 hours at O'Hare on Monday. If we end up with anything like that, I'll try to give you a call just to say "hi". Well, "hi" and "I miss miss miss miss miss you!"
