New decade, new office (continued)
Dec. 29th, 2009 03:42 amNow live and 27" wide!
Okay, this is scary good. Not only did the new computer find and set-up the Ether-connected LaserJet from the Eudora print window, it also has this lovely "nearby printers" option that wirelessly printed to both USB inkjet printers that are hooked up to my laptop. Again, without me needing to do anything in the usual printer set-up system prefs.
It also thinks "Dell at Deb&Mike's" is a nearby printer. Yes, I know that's because it's one of the printers with drivers installed on my laptop, but it amuses me to think of the surprises I could leave for them there if Middleton really was as nearby as my new desktop computer seems to think it is.
Yes, I'll be cursing the way Apple keeps changing system fonts with new releases of OSX, and I have no doubt more Snow Leopard surprises still await, but for tonight? Tonight I'm super happy with how the equipment is playing so nicely together.
