Vermont...

...sure is pretty.

Tall, too.

I'm driving home via I-89 and (eventually) I-91 to the Mass Pike, etc. as a welcome alternative to the beautiful drive back down the Northway (I-87). I like taking different routes, especially during daylight.

Not a blink at the border. Those who helped load my car Monday night can croggle now. I still haven't quite figured out how I'm coming home with more than I carried up, especially since the wood bar stool came back with the Eastlakes, the folding bar stools truly were the disposable items like I thought they'd prove to be, and we ate the cookies, chocolate poker chips, and gummi brains.

Enough of the free wifi at Vermont rest areas. I'm going to put the computer away and continue toodling down the road.

Home Sweet

Woods: check.

Zeppelin Hangar standing: check.

Car in garage: check.

Plants watered: check.

Net connection working: check.

And all that sort of thing.

When I arrived at the Delta in Montreal ten days ago, a full crew of fannish sherpas poured out from the lobby. They surrounded my car and soon it was empty. A few minutes after that, carts and bags were fully loaded and all of the stuff whisked its way upstairs while I parked my car underneath the hotel.

I note with some regret that Toad Woods doesn't normally sport its own fannish sherpa crew nor did a special team await my arrival home tonight. I shudder to think about where I'm going to pile everything that's currently stuffed into the car and dare not contemplate how long it's then going to take me to put it all away. It's a good thing [livejournal.com profile] carnyjack is arriving in a couple of weeks. I'll want to bring some order to the chaos by then.

Sleep now. Or soon, anyway. The car will still be there when I wake.
