The judges each provided our own bio bit, and saw what each other submitted. Neil submitted a single word along with his permission for the contest organizers to include the Hugo info if they wanted to. Obviously, they did.
Much as I adore the Science-Fiction Five-Yearly Hugo, the fact that I was on the team that won it has little to do with my qualifications to judge the contest. Certainly less than the factors I included (fan and graphic design pro). Plus, it would have been embarrassing for my bio bit to have been considerably longer than the others.
