Another reason to love NYC

gerisullivanThere's "Flamingo Saute" on the specials menu at the Riverside Diner in the Bronx. I was in the mood for a salad, so I can't report on any more than its existence on the menu and the fact that it reportedly consists of a chicken breast plus some seafood and cheese.

benyalow to come north for New Year's, but the weather couldn't content itself with being four-kinds of wretched for the duration of my Midwest Road Trip*, it promises to be wretched through New Year's, too. So I drove south from Corning and expect to finally make my way home on Friday.
I went back to Corning for a second visit. I didn't have the museum to myself this time, though I was alone in the the Frederick Carder exhibit gallery for most of the time I spent there. The best part about the museum was watching kids enjoying themselves there, and seeing how into the glass they were. Neat.
