Drinking the water, breathing the air
Sep. 29th, 2004 06:44 pmToday's progress in the settling-in front included setting up winter snowplowing (and sanding, when needed) with a Plow Guy, arranging with the same guy to find out how much it will cost to have gravel added to my washed-away driveway before winter, and scheduling the installation of the urgently-needed water-treatment system. And, fortunately, a few billable hours and news of another possible project that will help pay for all this stuff.
I can tell it's after the Worldcon, because last night I watched both Gilmore Girls and Judging Amy. I think that's the first time since I moved in 4.5 months ago that I sat down to watch a specific TV show at a scheduled time. Two in one night; whoohoo.
Eep! Just remembered -- it's trash night at the Transfer Station. It's a good thing I don't generate much trash, 'cause my free time rarely coincides with the six hours a week that the transfer station is open. Especially since three of those hours fall on Saturday morning.
More frequent updates, soon, I hope! In the meanwhile, thanks for your LJ posts! I love being able to keep at least somewhat up with what folks are doing.
