Hey, Mother Nature...
Sep. 13th, 2008 12:55 amWhat your LJ user name, or are you only lurking?
It was raining. Heavily. Loudly.
I posted. It stopped raining. Um, immediately. As in, within a minute. Maybe two, at the outside.
I figured it was a fluke, a momentary lull. That was darned near a half-hour ago. It's still quiet outside. There's a bit of post-rain drip from the gutters, but nothing more.
Famous last words, knocking wood, and All That Jazz....
Mother Nature, if you're still online, please consider showing similar mercy to Galveston, Houston, and the surrounding area. Yes, I can see how wreaking havoc on land can be entertaining, what with the tossing those annoying cars about and all, but just think of the fun you can have in remote parts of the sea. Your trees will thank you, and so will your people.
