Cities (and towns) stayed in for at least one night in 2007:

Bronx
Middleton, MA
Boston
Kansas City
McDonald, PA (Pittsburgh)
Crawfordsville, IN
Chicago
Battle Creek, MI
Jasper, IN
Columbus, OH
Batavia, NY
Minneapolis
Winnipeg, MB
Towson, MD
Framingham, MA
Brooklyn
Wales, MA :-)

...and Yorktown Heights, NY, I think...I just don't remember when, exactly.

There may be others. Memory hazy.

Thanks and a tap on the cruise control to [livejournal.com profile] drplokta.

Edited to add: Yes, there were others. Montréal and Austin, at the very least.

[livejournal.com profile] rushthatspeaks reminded me of my trip to Montréal for Farthing Party and [livejournal.com profile] fringefaan reported that I was in Austin, TX for Corflu Quire in February. Yes, that's right, I was. It seems a lot longer ago, was it really just earlier this year? Guess so.

My hind brain kept trying to remember a trip into Canada here in the east, but only came up with Toronto (2006) and [livejournal.com profile] dlacey's in Waterloo (2005, I think). I'm most surprised that I forgot Montréal -- it was a new city, a new province, and only a couple of months ago. Duh.

There was probably other travel in March-April-May (beyond the trips to Minicon and ConQuest, that is). And in August-September-October. Everything that immediately comes to mind involves overnights with friends in the Boston area and various trips down to New York, including big fun hanging out with Bobbi Armbruster and seeing The Wolves in the Walls in mid-October. Those trips don't add any more cities to the list.

Interesting.

I don't do cities; I do countries.

I suppose I could pull the data together....

Heh. That gives me Minicon, which, IIRC, is in Edina, MN, rather than Mpls.

You seem to have left out Austin TX, unless I'm just not seeing it.

I believe you should interleave Middleton, MA in several places in your list. :-)

The hotel used to be in both Bloomington and Edina -- the South Tower in Bloomington, Plaza Tower in Edina, and the city line was reportedly between the Bloomington Room and the Edina Room.

The two cities had different liquor laws at the time, which proved tricky. After many years, the hotel petitioned to have the city property lines changed so the entire building would be in one town. That passed, and the entire hotel is now in Bloomington.

Grin.

I considered it. You're so high on the list thanks to my Arisia and Vericon stays in January.

This is why we have calendars.

Oh, of course! That's why it's the Sheraton Bloomington! Duh! Interesting that they'd build it over the line, though. You'd think they'd know that was trouble.

They built the original hotel in one city. When it came time to expand, there was room to the north. That's when they ran into trouble.

'Though I suppose that could have been predicted, given that their property ran all the way to the edge of the city line, with roads already in place on the south side of their lot. Then again, they have a parking lot that extends a fair distance to the west...I wonder why they didn't expand in that direction. I could hypothesize about possible reasons for that, but I really don't know any my quick web search only pointed out that the hotel was built in 1970. I don't remember when the Plaza Tower was added.

Hmmm I never left Manitoba this year so just Winnipeg, Dauphin and Albert Beach. One of my kids doesn't travel well (on multiple levels). Maybe we will make it to Alberta this summer
