Cinnamon has been my spice for most of 20 years now, ever since elisem and dreamshark first revealed the Truth waiting to be found in the pages of the Burpee Seed Catalog.

I'm only posting the results of the spice meme because they are so profoundly off base. Sure, I love MarieBelle's cardamom chocolates. Not as much as their saffron, which remains my fave, but cardamom comes in second. But that's as close to cardamom as I get. No way would anyone, anywhere describe me as "definitely understated and totally underrated." Not a chance. Like I say, I'll stick with Vegetology: chocolate is my vegetable, cinnamon is my spice, and whipped cream remains my condiment.

geri... this is what spice you are... not what you like... and there is a lot to like in cardamon. It is a critical ingrediant in good vinatarta (which my mom and I are due to make very soon... along with the xmas cake).

But I'm not cardamom. Not the way they describe it. "Not many people know you." Snort! Yes, I'll cop to the shy, for some values of the word, and there's a lot of subtlety of the sort that fredcritter used in his apazine titles. Things communicated by the implicit surrounding words that remain unspoken, that sort of subtlety. But then the description goes back to to the complete opposite of pretty much any way anyone who knows would describe me.

Nope, not cardamom. Not this cardamom, anyway.
