Gavi. Halloween 2006. I knew there was a reason I wanted to stay in Minneapolis through Halloween. I was right. Gavi as Medusa was best seen in person, and I have the added bonus prize of having snapped a few shots of her in costume. Clicking on the picture will take you to just one more -- a rare shot of Susan, Gavi, and me all in the same frame. Wednesday morning I'm homeward bound. Much as I wish there had been no memorial service drawing me to Minneapolis this October, I'm very grateful for every minute of the time I was able to spend in the company of such dear, dear friends.

Excellent costume and excellent pictures (of both Halloween and the expedition on Saturday).

I couldn't help but hope as I watched people at the wake that maybe some of 'em would make it back to Minneapolis next fall for Convivial. We could have fun (and toast Mike again too). Probably gonna be Oct 19-21.
