Heh. I listened to the musical many times pre-puberty. It says interesting things about my family that my mother loved this musical, but it used to make her cry from the essential tragedy of it all. When I finally learned the story, my first thought was, "So, why didn't Arthur and Lancelot just share?"
As for May Day in Minnesota, we're expecting 3 to 5 inches of snow. "It's May, It's May, Outdoor fucking very much does not begin today."
I don't think I saw the play, though we had the soundtrack on lp. Looking at the movie in just the clip of this song, I loved Vanessa Redgrave's facial expressions, but the set itself, the costumes, the choreography, and the other actors were painfully awful to watch. Oh, so contrived.
