And before that, I'll spend as much time as I can in the Library of Congress Manuscript Reading Room looking at the papers of Ephraim George Squier. I've recently learned he's my 3rd cousin, 4 times removed. If I'm counting correctly, that is. About 6 weeks ago, I was gobsmacked by genealogy, starting with the news that I have family going back to the early 1800s...in Wales. My Wales.

And now I see the other shoe — the part 1 — of the post I responded to already. Well. Why the hell can't LiveJournal let me push a button and read my posts in the order they were written, instead of backwards? (Is there a third-party fix for this anywhere?)
