Doing Business: Goals & Outcomes
Mar. 26th, 2009 10:57 pmNineteen years ago this month, I received the dba (doing business as) certificate for PROmote Communications. Pretty much from the start, my goal, my reason for being in business was that I wanted to knock clients' socks off. That continues to be true today, and I'm pleased to report that I still manage to do so on at least a semi-regular basis. I even have two pairs of
skzbrust's socks as evidence from the early days, and some mighty fine client feedback from more recent times.
But unlike the Mythbusters, I've never been able to count any broken windows among my business expenses. It seems Adam, Jamie, & crew inadvertently broke a few windows in Esparto, CA while filming an episode about a mile outside the small town.
As KCRA reports: "They were trying to literally 'knock the socks off' a mannequin by igniting 500 pounds of ammonium nitrate. But the explosion was a lot bigger than they expected."
